All Power Gear leveling systems can be divided into the hydraulic and electric ones. In their turn, the former come with or without air suspension components (in so-called air-hydraulic models). Unlike the hydraulic systems, their air-hydraulic counterparts allow for leveling a vehicle in motion, using the air leveling method only.
More commonly, automatic or manual leveling is achieved through the use of four Power Gear leveling jacks that firmly stand on the ground when the RV is parked. Any of them can be adjusted when you press the button on a control module. When you’re about to drive, they retract, and more upscale models even feature a special 'Emergency Retract' mode in which the jacks retract automatically when the motor is started and put in gear.
