Trailer leveling blocks are some of the essentials that every RV owner should have at hand on the move. Since your trailer does not come with hydraulic jacks, it is totally your responsibility to get it leveled up properly by means of leveling blocks. Why is it necessary? If you have a refrigerator it has to be flush with the ground to operate safely and efficiently. Besides, it is not comfortable to lie in bed or even be inside a trailer that is not leveled up. You also run the risk of getting injury due to the stuff that may drop out of your shelves or refrigerator.
There are two major types of trailer leveling blocks available on the market, including wooden and plastic ones. Each of them has its pros and cons, and will most come in handy depending on your trailer weight and size. Wooden blocks are the product of choice for heavy-duty trailers and motorhomes. They are reliable and reasonably priced, yet heavy, so you need to keep in mind the added weight of such blocks when loading your RV or trailer to its maximum. Unlike wooden blocks, their plastic counterparts are lightweight, however, they tend to cracks and breaks, so it's better to use them with smaller RVs and trailers.
