RV Trailer Suspension Enhancement
RV trailer suspension enhancement systems are designed to make a ride as smooth and comfortable as possible. As an example, equalizers are used in tandem and triple axle systems. Attached to a hanger which is welded to the frame of a trailer, they along with shackles serve as a link between leaf springs and allow them to lengthen when they are compressed. Their main function is to transfer weight between axles at any time when you are driving on a bumpy road in order to ensure even load distribution and therefore, a smoother and safer ride.
They are available in four main types, each designed for a particular trailer type. To wit, short curved ones are used with short leaf springs. This is because the front and rear hangers are pretty close to each other in this configuration. Horse trailers are typically equipped with flat equalizers. Whatever the type, these suspension parts don’t see much wear. They are not typically prone to deformation, cracks, or anything like that. But their bushings require replacement quite often. In most cases, it is better to replace an entire assembly as it will save you time. For the fullest selection of quality replacement parts, feel free to visit our store.
