RV Rust Dissolvers & Blockers
Corrosion protection is an important part of RV maintenance, simply because fewer metal parts that have succumbed to the rust bug mean fewer repairs. Flying rocks and debris leave scratches that expose the metal and cause corrosion to spread if not addressed; the problem gets even more severe if you drive in cold and wet regions where the roads are salted. Check your rig’s chassis, joints, fasteners, exterior and interior parts for corrosion and take steps to eliminate further rust development before the damage gets worse.
Rust inhibitors and removers are proven to be effective at keeping corrosion from spreading. They convert rust on a molecular level, containing ingredients that react with iron oxide and form a protective polymeric layer with little preparation. Brush off loose rust before applying the inhibitor; several layers may need to be applied for the best results. The newly formed primer coating can further be painted. Such products work on areas entirely affected by rust, not on bare metal or painted surfaces. Along with RV rust dissolvers and blockers, we carry battery cleaners formulated to remove corrosion buildup from battery posts and terminals.
